79 Pets from Dominica

On Saturday, December 2, PAWS Chicago welcomed 79 dogs and cats from the island nation of Dominica for a brand-new chapter.
These pets have been through a lot. The worst abuse we’ve ever seen. Puppies Sage and Sabrina were found severely underweight and searching for food; they were seen being kicked and beaten. Grover, a senior dog, was left in the city center where he was tortured and burned simply because of his age.
