Helping People in Crisis

Providing help at a critical time.

Make a Difference When It’s Needed Most

Whether it’s helping arrange for a family to receive pet food when they otherwise couldn't afford it or helping rescue animals from dangerous situations like hoarding our natural disasters, helping people—and animals—in crisis is core to what we do at PAWS Chicago. But we need your help to make a bigger impact.

Volunteer Opportunities

Overview

The PAWS Chicago Pet Food Bank  is run almost completely by volunteers. We distribute thousands of pounds of donated food and supplies to families in need each month. Our PFB allows hundreds of animals a year to stay with their families instead of ending up in a shelter.

As the Pet Food Bank Program Manager, you will help manage the volunteers who pack the donations and help keep the food bank organized and working efficiently.

Helpful Skills

  • Enjoy working with people
  • Comfort and sensitivity when working with the public
