Rio's Story

Say hello to our favorite goofball Rio and bring out the wand toys, puzzle toys, and of course the toy mice for this playful guy. Rio is our sweet and excitable 7-year-old fellow who is ready to find his new play buddy. He absolutely loves to play and can sometimes get a little over excited when he sees those feather toys come out (who can blame him?) When he's done playing, Rio also loves hanging with his people. Rio would love to find his purrfect family who is able to make sure he gets his daily structured play to match his curious and intellectual energy levels.

Are you Rio's new family? You might be if you are an experienced cat owner who is able to dedicate daily play sessions with Rio and help him be his best self! Rio would love to share his favorite past times with you; sleeping paws up with his tail hanging off his favorite cat tree or playing with his toys.

Meet Rio

Rio can’t wait to meet you!

If you’re interested in adopting this pet, please complete the following steps:

1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!

2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.

3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.

Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!

Want another way to spend time with our adoptable (or soon-to-be-adoptable) pets? Consider fostering.
