Kipper's Story
Things are going so well with Kuiper (formerly Kipper)!
Him and his brother Truman are such easy friends outside. Kuiper is pretty fearful of strangers, so he sticks close to his protector on walks. Inside? We're still taking it slow. They've progressed to relaxing on the same couch at the same time (as long as they're not touching) and that's a big step! Both boys love their toy time, but right now they still prefer to play separately. And that's fine. Everyone is sharing and keeping the peace!
As soon as he realized I'm the bringer of food, Kuiper made fast friends with me. He's SUCH a little companion. Loves to be held, loves to be pet, loves to be brushed, clearly just loves to be cherished. And this works just fine for our household since Truman has always been pretty independent. One dog for my lap, one for my feet!
Kuiper's favorite things are treats, soft fuzzy toys, yak cheese (seems he just likes to hold it in his mouth), more treats, and walks in the sunshine. Not a big fan of the rain, he's not quite wash & wear. We're still working through a lot of his general anxiety issues, but I can tell he feels a little safer with us every day and he's got plenty of time to figure it out.
