Attend the orientation class to determine if you can make the commitment, and if so, participate as much as possible - believe you will find it to be as gratifying as I have!

How long have you been volunteering with PAWS Chicago?

I began working with PAWS in November 2016, shortly after moving back to Chicago. I had volunteered when I lived in Louisville with Seniors and wanted to continue to give back to the community.

Which PAWS Chicago programs/areas do you volunteer in and why?

I volunteer in Level 2 Dog Town, the Mentor program and am shortly starting the New Volunteer Orientation program.  I enjoy exciting others about PAWS, but still love being connected with helping nurture the dogs.

Do you have a favorite experience or memory from your time volunteering?

I was thrilled when I became a Level 2 volunteer as it allowed me to participate handling more dogs.

What motivates you to continue volunteering with PAWS Chicago?

The energetic atmosphere makes each day an adventure!

Do you have any advice for someone who is considering becoming a volunteer?
