Angels with Tails | PAWS Chicago

Your favorite Winnetka shops are opening their storefronts and windows to adoptable pets!

Noon–4 p.m. on Saturday, September 28.

Back in 1996, PAWS Chicago founders Paula and Alexis Fasseas and a group of passionate volunteers brought stray pets from Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC), the city impoundment facility, to storefronts across Gold Coast, and it launched a movement—Angels with Tails, a homeless pet adoption event for the whole community. Your favorite boutiques will open their storefronts to adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. Bring the whole family for this fun-filled community event where you can meet—and adopt—adorable animals, shop for a cause, enjoy special festivities, and score free dog treats!

Mark your calendars now and make sure you don't miss the pet-friendly festivities during the event brought to you by some of our participating storefronts!

Event Festivities:

  • Athene: PAWS Chicago window display
  • Christian Science Reading Room: Special display for aimal devotions
  • Evereve: 15% of sales donated to PAWS Chicago
  • J. McLaughlin: PAWS Chicago window display & 15% of sales donated to PAWS Chicago
  • Tocco: Adoption hub

It’s going to be a great day for a great cause!
