Maverick's Story
Gentle giant Maverick is a big softie who’d love to find his forever home with you! Despite his size and ‘Top Gun’ namesake, Maverick can be a little timid and shy with new people and in new situations, so prefers to take things slow till he feels comfortable. But he is definitely a ‘lover not a fighter’, so if he feels nervous, he will just create a little distance to help him cope with the new situation. And once he feels comfortable, he’ll soon let you know, using gentle nudges with his nose to say, “hey, I’m ready for those pets and cuddles now”!
Maverick is a very friendly, affectionate, and sweet boy; he loves playing with toys, being around his family, getting pets and having tasty treats! He would thrive with just a little positive reinforcement to help build his confidence, and with some patient reassurance, you will soon have the best and biggest softie buddy in town! So come and give this super boy a chance to bond with you; you’ll soon be rewarded with the love of a super champ!

2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.
Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!
