Duchess's Story
Stop right there. You are in the presence of royalty, and a duchess no less! Duchess is the darling of staff and volunteers with her adorable smile, incredibly sweet nature, and propensity to make herself at home in your lap with an eager wag of her tail. She is a real cuddle bug and wants nothing more than to snuggle up next to you in a quiet home where she is the queen of your heart. Bonus if you give her treats as she loves her snacks!
Duchess can be nervous around noises and new places and would do best in a peaceful home in a quiet neighborhood. Even though the skyscraper was invented in Chicago, Duchess isn’t impressed and prefers her kingdom to not be a high rise. She’s as sweet as can be and can’t wait meet to the people who will be her next royal family!

2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.
Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!
