Doc's Story

Meet Doc, and then get ready to fall in love. Doc is a Dominica rescue here at PAWS Chicago and is looking to find a loving home. Even though he’s 8 months old, Doc prefers to chill out and take it easy. A few play sessions in the yard or a walk around the neighborhood suits him just fine. Doc would do great with other dogs who are calm and can give him the space that this shy guy needs. Doc can be home alone for 4-6 hours, but he would also enjoy a dog walker or daycare for part of his day to keep him company.

Are you Doc's new person? You may be if you live in an adults-only home with a private entrance and are looking to add a sweet addition to your family.

Meet Doc

Doc can’t wait to meet you!

If you’re interested in adopting this pet, please complete the following steps:

1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!

2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.

3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.

Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!

Want another way to spend time with our adoptable (or soon-to-be-adoptable) pets? Consider fostering.
