We want you and your perfect pet to find each other. But the right match can take time. Understanding what to expect from the process helps a lot.

 

We’ll call if you’re a match.
We would love to talk with every prospective adopter. However, limits in technology, resources, and time mean we can’t respond to everyone. You will only hear from us if you’ve been matched with the pet you requested. Thank you for understanding.

 

Keep trying.
If at first you don’t find the perfect pet, try, try again. No need to complete another ComPETibility Quiz or Adoption Application—we have them on file for six months. Just schedule another appointment to come in and meet all adoptable animals or complete a new Foster Pet Adoption Inquiry Form.

 

Consider an underdog (or cat).
Although they may be extra effort, the rewards are all the greater when you see how bright they shine thanks to your love. These pets may have medical needs, movement restrictions, or a dislike of elevators. They might need a large back yard, a home with no children, or a little extra time to warm up to their new environment. If you’re interested in an underdog (or cat), please review your ComPETibility score to see if you’re a match.
