Shara's Story

Type of Foster Home:

Shara would love a foster home while she waits to get adopted! Shara is a super sweet pup who would love to spend some time in a foster home while she waits to get adopted! Given her difficult path to PAWS, she may be a little nervous meeting new people, but she warms up, and will quickly become your best pal! Shara

How to Foster Shara:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and completing the Foster Care Application. Veteran foster parents can email acfoster@pawschicago.org to schedule a pickup appointment.

Shara is available for foster pick-up through the Adoption Center at 1997 N. Clybourn Ave. or at our Medical Center at 3516 W. 26th St.

Meet Shara

Shara can’t wait to meet you!

If you’re interested in adopting this pet, please complete the following steps:

1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!

2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.

3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.

Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!

Want another way to spend time with our adoptable (or soon-to-be-adoptable) pets? Consider fostering.
