Dollar's Story

Type of Foster Home:

Dollar is a sweet but shy senior kitty who is in need of a foster home! She is 15 years old and loves interacting with people. Dollar is looking for a home that can provide peace and quiet for her to de-stress. It's hard to go through so much upheaval when you're an old gal, and Dollar has been feeling nervous in the shelter environment. She would do best in a home where she can be kept separate from resident cats. She also needs a litterbox that is large and easy to step into due to arthritis. She can’t wait to meet you!

How to Foster Dollar:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and completing the Foster Care Application. Veteran foster parents can email acfoster@pawschicago.org to schedule a pickup appointment. Dollar is available for foster pick-up at 1997 N. Clybourn Ave.

If you’re interested in adopting this pet, please complete the following steps:

1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!

2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.

3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.

Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet, please feel free to complete a new Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our Adoption Center. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments are recommended for a more efficient visit!

Want another way to spend time with our adoptable (or soon-to-be-adoptable) pets? Consider fostering.
