Skittles's Story

Skittles here is quite the quirky, colorful, sweet kitty cat. While a more independent boy that prefers a more mature crowd, Skittles would love a friend that will grace him with love and understanding. He's totally open to growing and adjusting with time and patience, so it'll be a great adventure with this little guy! This senior gentleman loves to cuddle and spend him with his people. However, he also enjoys time on his own, doing his cat-tivities. He's the total package!

As an elderly gentleman, he does have some additional medical needs. Skittles takes daily medication to manage hyperthyroidism and arthritis. This handsome guy also eats a special diet for his kidneys and needs his food and water in elevated bowls to ease swallowing.

Are you Skittles' new family? If you're looking for an independent kitty that will absolutely shine with time and you can commit to maintaining his special health needs, then maybe this little guy is just for you.

Meet Skittles

Skittles can’t wait to meet you!

If you’re interested in adopting this pet, there are few steps you must complete before scheduling an appointment at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center:

1. Please start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to their needs!

2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.

3. Finally, schedule an appointment at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center! During your appointment, you’ll be able to meet all currently adoptable animals at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center and walk through the adoption process with our staff and volunteers. Appointments are not required but encouraged for a more efficient visit.

Please note that while we can’t place holds on adoptable animals for your scheduled appointment, there are always plenty of homeless pets looking for a home! If you don’t meet the perfect pet during your first visit to the Adoption Center, please feel free to schedule another appointment.

Want another way to spend time with our adoptable (or soon-to-be-adoptable) pets? Consider fostering.
