Set on Castaways beach yacht on the sand, Beach Party is a summer celebration for over 400 luau guests and their pets. Sip cool frozen cocktails and soak up the sun, as the Lake Michigan waves roll in and the summer breeze fills the air. As the sun sets, dance the night away, enjoy an open bar, dinner, live and silent auctions, pet spa services, raffles and so much more.
Guests will enjoy complimentary open bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the evening in addition to a dinner buffet. You can also enjoy our open-air photo booth, get an illustration drawn with you and your pet, enter our raffle, bid on some great auction items and dance the night away! Goody bags will also be given out at the end of the evening that will include treats for you and your pet. For General Admission tickets, seating is on a first come first serve basis, at any table that is not reserved for a sponsor.
Short answer is NO. Once you purchased a ticket through our website, over the phone or through the mail, your name has been added to our registration list. You do not need to bring any proof of purchase with you to the event. Simply check in at the registration tables when you arrive.
Although children are allowed at Beach Party, there will be an open bar serving alcoholic drinks with a majority of our guests being over the age of 21 years old. We encourage everyone to use their own discretion when it comes to bringing children to the event.
When it comes to pets, we would love for you to bring along your dog to the event. Dogs do require tickets to the event though - you can purchase dog tickets here for $50 per dog. We do ask that dogs that attend the event are well behaved around other dogs, crowds, and music.

We cannot put on our events without the help of volunteers! We do ask that you are an active PAWS Chicago volunteer that has attended an orientation before volunteering. For more information about volunteering for this event, please reach out to us at VolunteerRSVP@pawschicago.org.
Tickets are limited at this event due to space. There is a chance the event may sell out before the event date. We encourage you to purchase your ticket(s) as soon as possible to ensure you can attend the event. Tickets can be purchased online here or by calling 773-843-4887. Please check back at a later time to see if tickets will be available at the door. If tickets are available at the door, the general admission price is $175.
Guests typically wear colorful cocktail attire to this event. Please wear what makes you comfortable – it’s a party on the beach! The event will take place rain or shine, so dress accordingly.
Castaways has a public parking lot, however it is small and fills up very quickly. Free and metered parking is available along Stockton Avenue. Paid parking is available in the Lincoln Park Zoo lot, entering on Fullerton Avenue. If parking in the Lincoln Park Zoo lot, we recommend parking in the south end of the lot near the pedestrian bridge. For public transportation, please visit www.transitchicago.com to plan your trip. Valet parking is NOT available at this event. Due to limited street parking availability, please STRONGLY consider taking public transportation or carpooling to the event.
Even if you are unable to attend the event on Thursday, July 14th, there are several ways you can still participate:
· Participate in the silent auction! Supporters not attending the Beach Party may bid on silent auction items from their smartphone or computer starting two days prior to the event on July 12th until the auction closes at 9:45 p.m. on July 14th. Silent Auction item descriptions will be available the week of July 11th.
