Hello, I'm Rose

She LOVES plush toys and will come running when she hears a squeak!  Plus she loves to play with our 3 months old puppy.

Rose's Story

We adopted Rose during the last adopt-a-thon and we are absolutely over the moon with her!  We kept her name because she was already responding to it when we met her, although officially she is Rosie and she responds to RoRo.

She is fully house trained and hasn't had a single accident in the house.  She even taught herself to use the indoor Pee Pads by watching one of our other dogs!  As you can tell, she is super smart and we are discovering her playful side more and more every day.  She LOVES plush toys and will come running when she hears a squeak!  Plus she loves to play with our 3 months old puppy.  They are constantly on the move together and it's the absolute cutest thing to watch!

When we adopted her she had already had her right eye removed due to glaucoma and her right eye has a pretty bad cataract.  We explored the idea of cataract surgery in hopes of restoring her vision, but unfortunately she is not a candidate and will be on eye drops for life instead (she's takes them with no fuss).  In addition to the cataract, she has muscle atrophy in her hind legs, so we take her on "lengthy" 4 block walks daily to build the muscle back up.  We tried water therapy, but she has NO instinctual skills in the water...  She literally just floats (in a life vest) without moving her paws at all (pretty funny actually!).
