He was initially very shy and seemingly lethargic, but the more comfortable he feels, the more rambunctious he is! And we love it! He recently gained enough confidence to run around the dog park with all the other dogs instead of hiding behind us. He behaves very well, and has learned sit and stay very quickly, as well as his own name. He is very gentle and patient with puppies and children, and he gets along with all dogs and humans! He even gets along reasonably well with our cats. They all just seem happy to ignore each other, but are comfortable enough to sit side by side. 

We feel bad that he is missing 13 teeth — we really want to know what happened to him before we got him! But even without 13 teeth, he is a happy and healthy boy who is capable of playing tug and eating normal dog food. Although there is one benefit of him not having his upper teeth — if he does get too “rough" when playing, he really only gums your arm :-) 

We have enrolled him in obedience classes, which will start August 5th. But for now, he is doing very well with positive reinforcement at home. He is even obedient and well behaved off his leash!
