Cole's Story

Cole, formerly Concord, is doing great! He has adapted beautifully to my home. He is a high energy, fun-loving dog that I enjoy in my life! We walk three times a day. In the morning for one half hour, in the afternoon for an hour and a half, and then a short walk just before bed. We also go to the agility park in the neighborhood and play and learn on the equipment. Cole is smart, agile, and loves to run and jump, so agility is a good outlet for him. We do not do formal classes, but use the equipment regularly.

I have introduced him to many other dogs and he plays regularly with my daughter's dog, Louie, a small Yorkie/Pomeranian mix. Cole lies on his side to play with Louie to accommodate to Louie's small size. Cole also plays with dogs his own size. He is no longer reactive upon meeting other dogs. He approaches them excitedly, but not aggressively, his tail wags and he is eager to play.

Cole and I are bonding well. He follows me from room to room, lays next to me while I practice guitar, enjoys our walks, playing with balls and frisbees and at the agility court.

He does well on road trips. We just returned from a two day trip to Wisconsin where we visited my friends and hiked in the State Park. He likes car rides. He has lifted my spirits so much as I had been grieving the death of my beloved Australian Shepherd. Attached are some photos of him.
