Ryker's Story

If you’re looking for an active play pal, Ryker is the kitty for you! This fluffy one-year-old boy has a ton of energy and can’t wait to have a home all to himself where he can show off his play skills! Interactive play sessions are his favorite way to pass the time, so if you can match his energy, you would make a perfect pair! Cute little Ryker also prefers to be pet on his head when he’s all tuckered out from playing. This is a smart boy too, and any type of puzzle toy to keep him entertained while his humans are away would be a great thing to have in his new home. Do you think Ryker sounds like the cat for you?

This fluff ball would do best in an adults-only home with an experienced adopter who can provide lots of fun activities and engage in interactive play sessions with Ryker. He also tends to be a bit too rough with other felines, so he would do best as the only kitty in the home. Ryker has enough energy to supply for a whole household! Do you think you could provide the enrichment and love Ryker desires? Since he’s such a vibrant and enthusiastic boy, he can get overstimulated, so it’s best to give Ryker affectionate head scratches when he’s nice and relaxed after he wears himself out from playing.  It is clear to us that Ryker is longing for a family who will love him until the very end and accept him for the playful boy he is!  Come and meet Ryker today at the Lincoln Park Adoption Center. You’ll surely fall in love with this handsome fellow right away!

Why Adopt?

Adoption is one of the best ways to save a life. Only a few thousand more adoptions each year in Chicago, a city of millions of people, and we will be a No Kill community! You can make a real difference.

At PAWS Chicago, we keep working to grow our operations to save more homeless pets. It's how we've gone from saving a few dozen to 6,000 pets a year. But it is our adopters who make the real magic happen by bringing these loving pets home. Adopt a pet and spread the word!
