Wouldn’t it be nice to come home after a long day of work to the cutest face ever? Ladies and gentlemen, meet adorable Elmer! This four-year-old tabby male was rescued by PAWS from Chicago Animal Care and Control, and he can’t wait to find a loving forever home to cozy up in! Elmer is very laid-back. He likes to relax and gaze out the window from his favorite comfy spots. This gentle boy also gets along very well with the other kitties at PAWS! He’s mild-mannered, easygoing, and extremely mellow. If you’re searching for a cat to lounge around the house with you and enjoy the simplicities that life has to offer, then Elmer is your guy! Let’s talk about that overly adorable face, shall we? Elmer has the cutest expressions and the most beautiful markings on his coat! He will melt your heart from the moment you lay eyes on him! Do you think he’d fit in at your home?
Elmer is FIV+, so he will need to go to a home either as the only kitty, or with other FIV+ cats. Don’t let that scare you! Kitties with FIV live like any other normal kitty, but need to be monitored a bit closer and definitely need regular visits to the vet to stay on top of their health. Elmer is so sweet and just wants to be loved! He’d love a lap to curl up next to and someone who will scratch his head and chin. This is one boy who will be super low maintenance! He’s a big fan of taking it easy, and we think that adds to his charm. Do you have room in your home for cute Elmer? He’d love to meet you! Send us an email at email@example.com to pay him a visit! He is ready to find his forever home today!

Adoption is one of the best ways to save a life. Only a few thousand more adoptions each year in Chicago, a city of millions of people, and we will be a No Kill community! You can make a real difference.
At PAWS Chicago, we keep working to grow our operations to save more homeless pets. It's how we've gone from saving a few dozen to 6,000 pets a year. But it is our adopters who make the real magic happen by bringing these loving pets home. Adopt a pet and spread the word!
