Everybody Mr. Jack Presley meets loves him and he loves everybody!
Presley's Story
Mr "Jack" Presley is happy to report that he is doing great, settling in well, and quickly learning the ropes! He loves his comfy new home, playing with his toys, and running in his yard, and sharing gossip with the neighbors dogs.
Everybody he meets loves him, and he loves everybody. We've had some play dates with friends and their dogs and while he starts off quite over excited he eventually settles down and plays nicely. He loves to run and run at the dog park and he's really fast! He also loves visiting and hanging out with my neighbors in my building when I need to get some work done.
I have been in contact with the PAWS training team. I want to do in person classes because Jack does great when there are no high level distractions, like other dogs. Unfortunately, the October classes are full, so I plan to sign up for a November class as soon as they become available.
In the meantime Jack and I have been working on our own. He's a very fast learner and fortunately for me, he actually wants to do what I ask! He's also young, easily excited and distracted enough to forget about everything other than the dog, squirrel, or whatever is holding his attention. We're working on it. He's already had his vet check up, and aside from his being underweight everything checked out well.
As for me, it is great to have him here with me. I've really missed having my dogs around since they passed away, a month apart, just a year ago. It is really good for me to have something to focus on other than myself and my work.
BTW, I think my roommate likes Jack more than he's willing to admit, LOL.
