Eve's Story
Everything has been going wonderful and I'm so grateful to have Eve in my life. I've always had dogs growing up and knew that when I moved back to Chicago (was living in DC previously), I would rescue again. In an honest moment, I didn't think I wanted to bring home a puppy when I first started my search but when I saw Eve, I completely fell in love with her. We immediately bonded and she's pretty much my little sidekick. I kept her Paws name ("Eve") and I call her "Evie". Lots of pictures attached.
I've had her for about 3 weeks now (brought her home December 27th) ... We started puppy training after the first week and she is catching on quickly! I've been taking her to the park on a regular basis and she's made lots of other puppy friends. When I first brought her home she was extremely shy around new people. I would have friends and family come visit and she would hide behind me if she felt overwhelmed. She has come a LONG way. She still gets shy when there is a group of new people around her but she warms up very quickly now.
My brother has a Great Dane and lives in NYC so we facetime and let Evie get to see her cousin :)
