Walnut's Story

Meet our resident cutie pie, Walnut!  Walnut is an active and adorable Miniature Pinscher/Terrier mix who enjoys giving affection almost as much as he loves receiving it.  He is a very people oriented dog who adores being in the spotlight and right at the center of everyone’s attention!  Walnut would love to find a home with an experienced, adults-only family who is willing to continue his training in the future.  He is not a fan of cats, so he would do best in a home without any feline friends.  Walnut just seems to want to be cuddled and loved on 24/7.  He would make one exceptional lap dog!  He is very good at letting you know when he wants extra pets, he’ll shove his nose right under your hand when it’s time for a head scratch.  If there’s not enough room on your lap, Walnut is more than happy to lay on the side of your leg and wait for you to give him a nice belly rub.

Walnut was previously in a foster home where he was described as a playful and obedient boy who loves going for car rides and “jumps in as soon as you open the door for him”!  His favorite past times include going for long walks, giving his favorite humans all the face kisses they can handle, and burrowing under the covers when it’s time to go to sleep.  If you’ve got extra room on your bed Walnut will gladly fill up the empty space!  If you’re not completely convinced that this boy is just the most adorable dog you’ve ever seen and deserves to be a part of your family, then come out and meet him!  You’ll surely fall in love and want to take him home!
