Meet Tony! Tony is a petite Chihuahua mix who is one sweet and gentle soul that arrived here at PAWS from one of our rural transfer partners in Tennessee in a very scared and timid state. Needless to say, it has been a tough adjustment for this handsome boy, and it seems as if Tony has never known what it feels like to be loved. Our mission is to find Tony the perfect forever home where he never has to feel scared and alone again! He would love to have a permanent place of his very own where he can feel completely comfortable and let his fur hang loose! We are sure when he is given time he needs to adjust that he will surely flourish and show everyone just how wonderfully adorable he is!
Tony is searching for a quiet, adults-only home with an experienced owner who will be patient with him and willing to help him build his confidence and form a relationship of trust with his humans. He is a bit apprehensive of the sights and sounds of the city when going for walks. This cutie would do best in a home with a fenced in backyard that he can romp around and play in whenever he pleases! In order for us to learn more about Tony and how he might be in a home environment, we sent him into a loving foster home where he is slowly coming out of his shell and revealing his true personality. Tony seems to be at her best when she’s around other dogs, so he would love to have another confident canine friend in his forever home. That way he can learn just how great life can be from his doggy friend and will be able to learn the ropes from them as well! Although he may always be a bit timid, Tony is sure to blossom into a loving and affectionate companion when he is given the time he needs to adjust to his new surroundings! He hopes to find someone who can give him the chance he needs to grow into the wonderful dog we know he has the potential to be! Is that you?
