Meet Stan

Stan is one of our adoptable dogs that is participating in our A Chance to Bloom Adoption Event! On Saturday March 23rd from 11-6 we will be waiving adoption fees for all adult dogs. The $100 training deposit still applies.

He would do best with an experienced owner and continued training in a quiet home where everyone is age 15+. He is not particularly fond of other dogs.

Stan is currently spending time in a foster home. For more information on how to meet or adopt Stan, please e-mail

Stan is a part of PAWS Chicago’s Featured 5 adoption program.

When you adopt a cat or dog who is a part of PAWS Chicago's Featured 5 program, you will receive:

Stan's Story

Looking for a lovable, wiggly cuddle buddy? Stan’s your man! This adorable black lab is looking to make an inseparable bond with his new owners. He can get a bit anxious when left alone, so he would do well with someone who works from home. Stan also loves frolicking in Chicago’s snowy, winter weather.

Stan will require experienced owners age 15+ that are willing to provide him with continued training. He doesn’t enjoy the company of other dogs, so he would prefer to be the only pet in a quiet home. If you are interested in meeting Stan, please visit our Pippen Fasseas Adoption Center located in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.
