Romaine is currently enjoying time in a foster home so please email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a meeting or learn more.
Say hello to Romaine! Romaine is a quiet and sweet girl who wants nothing more than to find a best friend of her very own. She is fairly timid and shy when meeting new people and it has taken her some time to get used to the hustle and bustle of city life. Romaine would do best with a patient owner who will give her the time she needs to find out that the world isn’t all so bad and someone who has had experience with fearful dogs in the past. When Romaine was transferred to PAWS from another rescue in Arkansas, she tested positive for Heartworm and was sent to a quiet and calm foster home where she could undergo treatment. Romaine’s foster mom reported that it took her about a week and a half to completely adjust to her home, and once she became comfortable she turned into a very playful lady who hardly left her foster’s side!
We have learned that Romaine loves her food and is up for doing just about anything to get a tasty treat! She also does very well in a crate and makes no fuss when she’s left alone during the day! Due to her shy nature, Romaine would do best in a single-family home with a fenced in backyard she can run around and play in without having to worry about all the loud noises and new people that are usually encountered on walks. Once Romaine has completely adjusted to her new surroundings, she is sure to make a wonderful walking partner! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is one hundred percent adorable, then Romaine is the girl for you!
