Panera is a sweet five-month-old Great Pyrenees mix who is looking for a special adopter who is willing to give her a chance and providing with the loving home she deserves! She is a typical happy puppy who absolutely LOVES to go on walks to stretch her legs. Panera is a very athletic girl and would love to find an active family who will play with her all day long and settle in for a good quality snuggle session when the day is through! She is great at giving puppy kisses and wants nothing more than to befriend every human she meets!
Panera has been at our Adoption Center for almost a month because of a medical condition that scares away potential adopters, but it’s nothing to be afraid of once you know more! This adorable girl is recovering from canine viral papilloma in her mouth, which is a wart-like growth that is not contagious to humans or other animals and goes away on its own as the dog matures. It is contagious to other dogs while she is recovering for the next 30 days, so she is searching for a dog free home at this time. This most commonly affects dogs with a weak immune system, so young puppies like Panera are more likely to be at risk. Once her immune system grows stronger and stronger, our veterinarians are certain the wart will regress! No puppy deserves to spend her days in a shelter, so we’re hoping an adopter will look past her virus and give her a chance.
