Nora's Story

If there is one word we could use to describe Nora, it would be adorable!  Nora is a sweet and gentle soul who arrived here at PAWS from one of our rural transfer partners in a very scared and timid state.  Needless to say, it has been a tough adjustment for this gorgeous girl, and it seems as if Nora has never known what it feels like to be loved.  Our mission is to find Nora the perfect forever home where she never has to feel scared and alone again!  Nora seems to be at her best when she’s around other dogs, and her personality surely comes alive!  She highly enjoys their company and becomes the playful, goofy girl we all know she can be whenever she’s with her confident canine buddies!  We are hoping to find her a home with another dog who can show her the ropes and help her come out of her shell.  Although she may always be a bit timid, Nora is sure to blossom into a loving and affectionate companion when she is given the time she needs to adjust to her new surroundings!

Nora is searching for a quiet, adults-only home with an experienced owner who will be patient with her and willing to help her build her confidence and form a relationship of trust with her humans.  In order for us to learn more about Nora and how she might be in a home environment, we sent her into a loving foster home where she is truly thriving!  Her foster family reports that she is extremely curious and loves to explore once she’s comfortable with her new surroundings.  Once she’s fully adjusted, Nora is a bit apprehensive of the sights and sounds when going for walks.  This cutie would do best in a home with a fenced in backyard she can romp around and play in whenever she pleases!  She also is very affection and enjoys receiving love from her fosters!  Nora is truly happiest during play time and loves to chew on squeaky toys and tumble around with her doggy roommates!  She is just like an adorable little puppy whenever she plays and it is a sight that will have you giggling uncontrollably!  All in all, Nora has lots of love to give and is hoping the right person will come along and give her the chance she needs to grow into the wonderful dog we know she has the potential to be!  Is that you?  Email us at adoptions@pawschicago.org to find out more on how you can meet her!
