Nemo's Story

Nemo is an older soul with simple tastes and a few special requests. He is a 12 year old Bichon Frise mix who has been a part of a family, but through no fault of his own, is sniffing out a new family. Nemo has an adventurous spirit, and his hearing and visual impairments don’t slow him down - he loves to explore a new space, meeting every challenge (or table leg) head on. His foster reported that he isn’t a fan of crates - and will vocally share his opinion when he gets firstpaw experience - but that he loves indulging in lazy Saturday afternoons (or really any afternoon) where he can cuddle with you or nap in a warm patch of light.

Nemo is looking for a quiet home with a predictable environment, where all of his new family members are at least fifteen years old. With Nemo’s age comes not only wisdom, but also a deliciously special diet to regulate his kidneys that may not look or sound too appetizing to you (or Nemo :D), but his great sense of smell means he never misses a meal. He also hasn’t been a fan of living at the shelter, so his true personality will really come out once in a home of his own. If you have soft blankets and think Nemo is the fellow you have been looking for, email us at to learn more about how you can bring Nemo home!
