Lenora's Story

Say hello to Lenora! Lenora is an adorable little ball of fluff who is full of spunk and wit!  She is a prim and proper little lady who can’t wait to find a forever home! Lenora originally came to PAWS as a young pup and was adopted into a home in no time. Sadly, she was returned to us after spending over 6 years in the home when her family felt she was not a good match for their household. Needless to say, it has taken Lenora some time to adjust to life here at PAWS and it has been understandably difficult for Lenora to trust those around her. Slowly but surely, she is beginning to let her true personality shine through. This sweetheart is hoping to find a patient and experienced adopter who will be able to commit to gaining her trust and forming a relationship with her that is built on positivity and love! Once she becomes comfortable with someone, she truly loves them until the very end! Lenora has the potential to be a wonderful canine companion for the right person! Give her a chance and she will surely give you tons of love in return!

Lenora is searching for an active home with an experienced owner and without young children. She can be fearful of loud and strange noises and would do best in a quiet home where she has a safe place to retreat to when the world gets a bit scary. Due to her fears, Lenora will need someone who will give her, her space when she needs it and will allow her to come to them when she’s ready. She can be weary and apprehensive when meeting new people, so she would thrive in a home where there are not a lot of guests coming over. Going slow with Lenora is the key to gaining her friendship!  Once she has come to realize that she can trust you, she will be your friend until the very end! We’ve found out from her time here that Lenora is a very active girl who would love to go for mile long walks or a nice jog! She would also enjoy having tons of toys to play with whenever she pleases! She doesn’t enjoy sharing her toys though, so she would love to find a home where she is the only pet so she doesn’t have to worry about that! Her all-time favorite kind of toy to play with are tennis balls! If you’ve got room to play fetch, Lenora will be completely happy to play for hours on end with you!  Did we mention Lenora is super gorgeous too? Just see for yourself! Her soft fur and adorable perky ears make her one of the cutest canines you’ll ever see in your lifetime!  All Lenora needs is for someone to give her a chance to show them how great she can be!  Is that you?

  • You + a tennis ball = my perfect day.
  • I'll take as much exercise as I can get!
  • Squeak! Squeak! I love Squeaky chew toys!
  • I'm a great walking partner and can go for miles.
  • I'd love to be your running buddy.

  • I would love to find a home with children 15+.
  • I need a little extra time to warm up to people I don't know.
  • I prefer quiet environments that aren't crowded.
  • I prefer to be the only pet in the home.
