Kiki's Story

We can’t get over how cute little Kiki is! Kiki is an adorable pocket-sized Chihuahua who is looking for a quiet home where she can enjoy going for leisurely strolls and can lap up tons of attention from her family! Kiki was surrendered to Chicago Animal Care and Control by a family who found her tied up to their fence. After taking one look into those big, soulful brown eyes, we knew we needed to help this girl find her forever home! Kiki arrived here very timid and scared when approached by strangers. She can be a bit of a nervous nelly when you first meet her and it does take her some time to warm up. We’re sure that with lots of patience she is bound to come out of her shell and show off the lovely personality that is hiding underneath all of that fear!

Kiki is searching for a quiet, adults-only home with an experienced owner. She does need to be given some space as she acclimates to new environments and would do best with slow introductions to guests coming into the home. When given time to settle in, we’re certain she’ll become the life of the party! Kiki is currently enjoying time in a foster home where she slowly but surely came out of her shell and fell in love with her foster parents! Kiki has enjoyed laying in a tiny ball in their laps and is also a huge fan of playtime! She loves to romp around with her foster dad and it is certainly a sight that will have you giggling uncontrollably! She now goes and seeks out love and affection from them and has opened up so much during her time there! We’re sure that with the right family, Kiki is bound to thrive and become a delightful little canine companion! • I'm a great walking partner and can go for miles.
  • I'd love a patient adopter who will allow me to acclimate at my own pace.
