I have been diagnosed with Heartworm, which is a disease caused by parasites spread by mosquitoes. Heartworm is treatable and I will recover to live a normal life. Heartworm is not contagious to other animals or humans. It means my activity must be restricted. But I am available to go home with you today, and will heal better and faster in a safe, loving and stress-free home setting than I can in the shelter. I’ll need some care from the PAWS Chicago veterinarians over the next few weeks or months. PAWS Chicago will cover the associated costs and care, send me home with all my medications and food, and offer all the education and support you might need to care for me until I am ready to be cleared for adoption.

Meet Honey

Honey would love to meet you! Stop by the Pippen Fasseas Adoption Center at 1997 North Clybourn Ave. in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood today!

Adoption Process

All PAWS Chicago dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have up-to-date shots based on age and arrival date.
