Xantera's Story

Stunning Senior Alert!

Xantera is a stunning fourteen year old who is looking to find a loving family to call her own. She is a sweet gentle girl who is content just to be near you. She loves to get pets and chin rubs and would thrive in a home with no small children. She can be vocal—but only to let you know when she is hungry!

She lived in a home for nine years and when she was returned to PAWS her bloodwork showed results consistent with chronic kidney disease. Her new family can manage her condition with a special diet formulated for cats with kidney disease, a fountain so she can stay hydrated with lots of water and  intravenous fluids three days a week.  Please do not let her special needs scare you away.

Although she is a little older, Xantera is a gentle soul who still has tons of love to give. As long as she can hang out and snuggle with her human family members, she will be a happy gal. Xantera will make a faithful and loving companion to anyone who is willing to give her a chance. Won’t you consider adopting this senior kitty?

  • Cuddles! I love a good lap to curl up on.
  • Did someone say ‘treat’? I’ll take them all!
  • I’m a people person!
  • I love chin rubs!

Dislikes

  • Loud noises frighten me so I prefer a quite home
  • I’d love to find a home with family member 10 +
