Hello, I'm Toby
He's been a great addition to my little household and I am very happy I chose to adopt him.
Toby's Story
His PAWS name was Toby, but I changed it to Everest. I had every intention of just fostering him for a short period, but I knew early on that taking him back to PAWS was going to be difficult, if not impossible. He is the sweetest cat and very innocent. Everest was very shy and anxious at first and it seemed like he had never really played before. I would give him toys to play and he would awkwardly bat them around. My resident cat Blake (another PAWS alumni), quickly changed that and got him to run around and just be a cat. I knew I had to keep him when I saw how great they were for each other. Blake is a very independent cat, but I know that she loves him in her own way and he looks up to her.
When he first came home with me, he had a significant skin issue that seemed to be brought on by stress and anxiety. Now that Everest has been in my home for a couple of months, his anxiety seems to have decreased tremendously and his hair has grown in very nicely. He's been a great addition to my little household and I am very happy I chose to adopt him.
