Hello, I'm Quigley

My husband and I realized we could help by making sure there was enough space in your facility by adopting a cat and we were so excited when Erin called us to tell us Quigley (now named Huey) would be a good match. She was 100% correct-- and we absolutely adore him!

Quigley's Story

 Hi PAWS Team!

First, thank you for the important work you continue to do during the COVID pandemic. My husband and I realized we could help by making sure there was enough space in your facility by adopting a cat and we were so excited when Erin called us to tell us Quigley (now named Huey) would be a good match. She was 100% correct-- and we absolutely adore him!
I've attached quite a few pictures...being cat parents to a new little guy means our cameras are FULL of Huey! He's figured out that the weekends are for reading in bed and urges people to support the Chicago Public Library (and is plugging a book that's now an HBO series). He has quickly learned that his big blue eyes are the key to getting treats...they are absolutely stunning!
We were told Huey liked hanging on window sills at PAWS, so we're happy that our Logan Square apartment has plenty of window sills for him to keep an eye out on the neighborhood. He monitored a new patio deck being put in and some socially distanced hopscotch.
I attached one last picture of Huey with his big sister, Abby. Even though Abby is still teaching Huey the rules of the apartment, they do share our bed for cat naps during the day. Abby is also a PAWS alum; I adopted her in October of 2009 and she was originally named Addison. She was hanging out in the kitten room since the team thought she'd get adopted quicker and my landlord at the time only wanted declawed cats. Abby walked right up to me and basically said she owned me and it was time to go home. Both Huey and Abby have their forever homes with my husband and I. They make our family complete.
Feel free to use any of these photos on Facebook, Instagram, etc. We like to do as much as possible to spread awareness about PAWS, especially to those looking to adopt cats during kitten season.
Sincerely,Emily and Bryan
