Meet Mouse! Mouse is a quiet and petite little girl who is hoping to find a forever home with a family who will cherish and love her completely. She has had a rough start at life and came to PAWS from a hoarding situation severely underweight and very under socialized. When she first arrived here, she was completely terrified and understandably didn’t trust a single soul. She could often be found curling up into a tiny ball in the corner just trying her best to disappear. It took a couple of weeks for her to adjust to her new surroundings, and with a lot of patience and some much-needed TLC, Mouse began to let her personality peek through. She is truly a complete sweetheart who just wants to be loved and spend her days curled up on the couch next to her family.
Mouse would do best in a quiet, adults-only home with an experienced owner. Mouse was in a foster home for a couple of weeks, and her loving foster mom said that she is a gentle soul who tolerated her other kitty roommate and made slow, yet steady progress in her home. While she was at the Lincoln Park Adoption Center, she stayed in one of our quiet offices upstairs where she truly started to become comfortable in her own skin. We learned from her time here that she absolutely adores munching on crumpled up Temptations treats and would eat them 24/7 if she could! Once she began to realize it wasn’t such a scary place to be after all, she would sit perched in her cat tree and chirp happily. Mouse also truly loves head pets and leans right into your hand as soon as you give her a good scratch on her cheeks! Her sweet purr can probably be heard from a mile away! At this time, we could see that all Mouse really needs is a special someone who will give her a chance and see past her fearful nature. Underneath all of that fear is a wonderful kitty who loves receiving affection and is as cute as can be! She is truly one special girl who deserves nothing but the best!
