Hello, I'm Jack

He's a little kitty with a big personality!

Jack's Story

Everything with our new furry little friend is going great! He was Slate when I adopted him, but I did decide to change his name - he has been christened Jack! Jack is very sweet and affectionate and loves to sit next to or on top of all of the members of our household and be scratched. He loves to be where the people are, and will dutifully follow me from room to room in our apartment, often directly at my heels. At night, he likes to come and sleep with me in my bed - often right next to my head! Jack is also very playful and funny. He's really taken to being inside of boxes, climbing his scratching post, batting around little catnip mice, and chasing string. We've recently acquired a track ball toy for him, too, that you can make into different shapes - he's been loving that! He's very smart and inquisitive and loves to learn to manipulate the ball on a track that can be different every day. In fact, we almost named him Sherlock because of his tendency to investigate, observe, and notice everything! When we first brought him home, Jack did a perimeter search of our apartment, going through every doorway that he was allowed through and weaving his way through every piece of furniture and knick knack. He didn't disturb anything - he just wanted to know exactly what was going at all times. He also loves to tell you about his discoveries and will respond to you talking to him with little meows of his own.

Jack has also garnered lots of fans via my facebook page, with more likes on my photos of him than anything else I have ever posted on facebook in my life! One of his biggest fans is my mom who, though she has not met him yet, asks about Jack every day and eats up any story that I might have about him. I've included some of the photos I've taken of him in this email for his alumni page. He's a little kitty with a big personality, as you will see!

Now that Jack is a part of my life, its very clear that I needed him as much as he needed a home. He's brought so much joy to my life already and I can't imagine not having him around.
