Brody and his companion, Saba, would love to meet you! He would do best in a home with children 10+.  Stop by our Pippen Fasseas Adoption Center at 1997 N. Clybourn Ave., in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood, today.

Brody's Story

The best love stories are those that take you by surprise and forever change the way you perceive things.  A little over a year ago, a beautiful orange and white cat named Saba made her way to the PAWS Chicago Adoption Center.  It soon became clear that Saba was an extremely fearful cat who never got the chance to socialize with and learn to trust humans.  A recent mother, Saba was also very nervous around other adult cats.  Although she enjoyed food and playing on her own with toys, it seemed like this gorgeous girl would never be happy around humans or felines.

For close to a year, Saba lived a mostly solitary existence in a staff person’s office until the unexpected happened with the introduction of a handsome, brown tabby named Brody.  Like Saba, Brody is a shyer feline who became stressed living in the Adoption Center’s more active, free-roaming, adult cat suites.  PAWS staff took a leap of faith and introduced Brody to Saba, hoping the two could at least learn to tolerate one another in Saba’s tiny office abode.  To everyone’s surprise, Saba not only decided to tolerate Brody, she quickly fell head over paws in love with this sweet, unassuming boy.  Brody and Saba are now often seen sharing treats and rubbing against one another every chance they get.  In fact, Brody is also helping his coy mistress become more trusting of humans.  Since becoming an item, Saba no longer flees at the first sight of humans.  She is even beginning to let people offer her the occasional head pet.  We are so proud of her progress!

Saba and Brody are currently looking for a home they can call their own.  These adorable love cats would do best in a quiet, adults-only household.  If you are an experienced and patient cat person who is comfortable giving both cats ample time to acclimate to a new home environment, please come visit them today.
