Adu's Story

If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, playful lap cat that loves to snuggle, you have to meet Adu! This two-year-old boy originally arrived at PAWS from Chicago Animal Care and Control and was pretty shy and timid while at our Adoption Center.  Adu was sent to a loving foster home so we could learn more about him.  From his time there, we have learned that he’s unwinding a bit and really coming out of his shell!  His foster mom says Adu is a “total sweetheart” who loves to play, especially with his crinkly foil balls, but what he wants more than anything is “a person of his own to love!” Adu has gorgeous markings on his coat, and the most beautiful eyes you’ll ever see!  You'll also notice something else unique about this affectionate boy: he has a little cotton tail! It’s the cutest thing ever and just another quality that makes Adu so special.

This curious kitty loves to talk to his foster mom with lots of meows and purrs. He’s great at chasing his toy balls and ribbon toys.   His all-time favorite thing is being petted and receiving affection from his humans He loves getting attention and will roll over when being pet.  He’s a bit timid, but loves people, especially when they offer a lap for him to snuggle on! He also loves his vertical scratching post, relaxing in boxes, and other cozy places.  Adu is doing very well in his foster home, but he’d really love a forever home to call his own! Does this sound like the cat for you? Arrange to meet this sweet, gentle boy today! Email adoptions@pawschicago.org to get started. We know you’ll fall in love with Adu right away—and he’ll fall in love right back!
