Jennifer Hartnett
Age: 33
Occupation/title/what you do: Director of Catering & Conference
Planning for the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel
What motivated you to join the PAWS Chicago
Marathon team? I love animals, especially dogs! I rescued both
of my dogs from bad situations and they are the loves of my life.
Is this your first marathon?
This is actually my 3rd marathon. I honestly was not planning on doing another
Chicago marathon for quite awhile, but when I saw that PAWS Chicago was a
charity for this event I could not pass up this opportunity to raise money for
such a great cause.
On mile 20, what will you think of to keep going?
On mile 20, besides thinking of where the finish line is I will be thinking
about how much money our team will raise for all these animals and how much
better we are gong to make their lives.
What obstacles/fears/challenges are you
overcoming by running the marathon?
This marathon I am training with CARA at a much faster time then what I am used
to. I just hope I can keep my pace throughout the entire race and not hit "THE
WALL".
Why PAWS Chicago? PAWS Chicago
is such a great organization that really cares about the well being of the
animals and finding them the right homes. PAWS Chicago is the largest NO KILL
humane organization that keeps pushing awareness to the public. Thanks PAWS for
all you do to save the animals!
How did you find out about the PAWS Chicago
Marathon Team? I found out about the PAWS Marathon Team at
the Post Party at the Shamrock Shuffle.
