Christine Lee
Age: 26

Occupation/title/what you do: I'm a cook at a nursing home for people with profound mental retardation and a grad student in U of I's food science program.
What motivated you to join the PAWS Chicago
Marathon team? I wanted to share my experience in a meaningful way.
Is this your first marathon? No. I ran my first marathon last fall in the 2007 Chicago Marathon and couldn't wait for the next marathon the second the first one ended.
On mile 20, what will you think of to keep going? I'll probably be thinking about improving on my time from last year and getting home to my baby, Nina (pictured).
What obstacles/fears/challenges are you
overcoming by running the marathon?
Fingers crossed, I hope my knees hold up through the training.
Why PAWS Chicago? Animals are homeless because of the decisions and actions of people, and we owe it to them to try to make their lives as good as they deserve. PAWS has done an amazing job doing just that.
How did you find out about the PAWS Chicago
Marathon Team? I saw a flyer in the Shamrock Shuffle race packet.
