Anne Branson
Age: 43

Occupation/title/what you do: Food and Beverage Director, the Metropolitan Club
located on the 66 & 67 floor of the Sears Tower.
What motivated you to join the PAWS Chicago
Marathon team? I wanted to have motivation
for the marathon. I have had many adopted pets in my life and truly believe
in what PAWS stands for.
Is this your first marathon?
This is, I'm not sure what's wrong with me. I said I
would never run a marathon and here I am. I used to live by the slogan "I
don't run, unless I'm late for class... and then I think about it!". In the
last two years I've tried to run at least one 5K a month, did my first 10K
in November and ran the Soldier Field 10 mile in May
On mile 20, what will you think of to keep
going? I've come this far, why stop now!
What obstacles/fears/challenges are you
overcoming by running the marathon?
Besides running 26.2 miles... none really.
Why PAWS Chicago?
I feel we as humans hold the destiny of our lives in our
own hands, I feel animals don't have that choice. We are generally
responsible for bringing them into this world, we need to protect them.
Nothing brings joy to people more than a loving animal.
How did you find out about the PAWS Chicago
Marathon Team? Shamrock Shuffle Expo & I
think another race packet.
