Age:

Occupation/title/what you do: Attorney specializing in
employment law at Caffarelli & Siegel Ltd.
What motivated you to join the PAWS Chicago
Marathon team? I have always aspired to run a marathon, and I've
always loved animals. Helping to raise money for such a worthy cause is great
motivation to actually run and complete the race... All those homeless pets are
counting on us!Is this your first marathon?
Yes!
On mile 20, what will you think of to keep
going? Finishing the race and checking it off my "to do" list.
And thinking, "only 6.2 more miles until I can lie on the couch with my cat (and
James)!"
What obstacles/fears/challenges are you
overcoming by running the marathon? Training so consistently
for such a taxing event is probably going to be more difficult than the actual
race. I've never been a runner, so getting through the hundreds of hours of
training will be a major feat.
Why PAWS Chicago?
I've always had dogs, and now I have a cat. Pets bring so much happiness to
people's lives, and I felt more of a personal connection raising money to save
homeless animals than I did for many of the other charities. It was a hard
decision, but I just pictured my pets without homes and I knew that PAWS was the
right choice.
How did you find out about the PAWS Chicago
Marathon Team? I didn't even know that running through a
charity was an option, until I looked into it on the Chicago Marathon website...
