Jenn Myzia
Age:
34
Occupation/title/what you do:
1st job - real estate assistant, 2nd job ice skating instructor, 3rd job -
Chicago Wolves Wolf Pack Member
What motivated you to join the PAWS Chicago
Marathon team? My dog is my life and makes me so happy. I
adopted him from the Animal Care and Control in November of 2002 when they came
to the Wolves game for adopt a dog night. I fall in love with all the dogs every
game and this is a great way for me to help. I believe animals are so good to a
humans health and truly man's beat friend.
Is this your first marathon? This
will be my second marathon. My first one was this year in Walt Disney World and
I will be going back to WDW in January of 2009 to do another marathon
On mile 20, what will you think of to keep going?
Knowing all the people who sponsored me, the dogs that I have helped and
hopefully get to do fun recovery runs with and the knowledge that the finish
line is almost there but mile 22 is when I hit the wall last time.
What obstacles/fears/challenges are you overcoming
by running the marathon? I think the only fear this time is
running on pavement. When I ran my first marathon I was actually doing the Goofy
Challenge and ran a half marathon the day before so I know I can do this.
Why PAWS Chicago? Because I love
all the animals
How did you find out about the PAWS Chicago
Marathon Team? An e-mail but I was convinced when I met the
people at the booth at the Shamrock Shuffle and read that I could borrow a dog
to do the fun recovery runs with. I will take my Charlie to my parents so I can
take another dog out of the shelter for a while.
