For the fourth consecutive year, PAWS Chicago has received a 4-star rating from
Charity Navigator, America's premier independent charity evaluator. This year,
PAWS Chicago's overall score was 69.09, on a 0 to 70 scale. This is the highest
score given to any of the 246 evaluated charities across the country that fit
under the "Animal Rights, Welfare, and Services" nonprofit category. In
addition to being the highest rated animal welfare charity in the country, PAWS
Chicago is also the highest rated of all charities in Illinois.
Charity Navigator helps charitable donors make intelligent giving decisions by

America's largest charities. High ratings are reserved for charities that
successfully manage finances in an efficient and effective manner, reassuring

In earning Charity Navigator's highest four star rating, PAWS Chicago has
demonstrated exceptional financial health, outperforming its peers in its
efforts to manage and grow its finances in the most fiscally responsible way
possible. In fact, PAWS Chicago is the only animal welfare organization in
Chicago to receive four stars. (Four star ratings are reserved for charities
that receive an overall score over 60.)
