Maria's Story
Zara (formerly Maria) is doing great! She is an absolute sweetheart who loves cuddling on the sofa and playing with her big sister Izzy. We recently completed the PAWS level 1 training course, she did really well and she's got a very nice handle on many important commands.
When Zara first came home with us, she was terrified of the television (even with it powered off) and didn't really seem to know how play or do other normal dog stuff. With a lot of patience, encouragement from us, and examples from Izzy, she has really come out of her shell over these past few months. Zara and Izzy go for a 4-5 mile run with me most mornings these days, and while my legs are completely shot by the time we get home to them our run really just serves as a warm-up for ~an hour of wrestling.
I've attached a couple of pics of Zara (and Izzy, Zara is the black dog) here, she's an incredibly sweet dog and we're so happy that she's in our lives now!
