Hello, I'm Lamby

She is playful and funny, and she loves to be the little spoon when we snuggle. We can't imagine our home without her.

Lamby's Story

After our 14-year old cat, Stitch, died suddenly from an undiagnosed heart condition early this year, my husband and I decided to honor his memory by opening our home to another cat. When we met Lamby and read her story, we knew she was coming home with us. She had been in the shelter system for a several years, having been adopted and returned once before, and on top of that she suffers from the some heart condition we lost Stitch to. It seemed a fitting tribute to welcome her to our family.

Since coming home with us in March, Lamby has settled right in. She bosses our two other cats around like she's been here her whole life, and she's already laid claim to the comfiest spots in the house. She is playful and funny, and she loves to be the little spoon when we snuggle. We can't imagine our home without her.

Some cats with her heart condition (HCM) can live totally normal lives, while others experience complications, so Lamby sees a cardiologist now to make sure that we can deal with any changes in her health. Knowing that Lamby has a comfortable, loving home to spend all her remaining years in makes us feel incredibly lucky and truly grateful.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone at PAWS for bringing Lamby into our lives!
