PAWS Pet Makes National Headline

Aug 07, 2019

The people at PAWS always knew Kele, a seven-month-old kitten born with a congenital condition, was a star. This week, the people at People made it official. They just featured her in a two-page spread about Clear the Shelter Day, happening nationwide on Saturday, August 17.

Kele was born with a congenital spine malformation that led to a tail amputation and several lifelong health conditions.

Sure, Kele shared the spotlight with a few other animals from around the country. But the right family here in Chicagoland won’t have to share her love. Because her health battles don’t dim her energy, or the twinkle in her eye. People notice. And, this week, so did People.

Kele was also featured this week in the Chicago Tribune and WBBM Radio!
