TEAM PAWS Chicago Kicks Off 2012 Season

TEAM PAWS Chicago Kicks Off the 2012 Season at Deuces + the Diamond Club!

(Left to right) PAWS Chicago Founder and Chair Paula Fasseas, Bank of America Chicago Marathon Race Director Carey Pinkowski, PAWS Chicago mascot “Pepe”, TEAM PAWS Chicago Manager Matt DenBesten and Bank of America Chicago Marathon Charity Coordinator Dave Louthan launched the Bank of America Chicago Marathon season at a TEAM PAWS Chicago’s kickoff Party on Feb. 1 in Wrigleyville. More than 150 current and prospective TEAM PAWS Chicago members attended the event and approximately 30 athletes registered to join TEAM PAWS Chicago.

Recently, TEAM PAWS Chicago was voted “Best Local Charity Team” by Competitor.com and was accepted as an official charity by the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Open registration for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is closed, but TEAM PAWS Chicago still has entries available. In 2011, more than 500 runners and triathletes raced on behalf of PAWS Chicago to help save the lives of homeless pets.
