PAWS Chicago is proud to partner with Pets for Patriots, an organization that connects harder-to-adopt homeless pets with veterans and military personnel. The program is open to individuals from any branch of the United States military at any stage in their careers.

To get started, patriots can simply visit petsforpatriots.org to qualify and then visit PAWS Chicago to meet honorably adoptable pets – a dog or cat two years or older, a dog weighing more than 40 pounds regardless of age, or a special needs pet. In addition to access to ongoing discounted healthcare care provided by Pets for Patriots veterinary partners, PAWS Chicago also offers program participants free vaccinations at the PAWS’ Lurie Spay/Neuter Clinic for one-year post adoption.
