A Successful Sixth Annual Animal Magnetism

More than 300 animal lovers and 80 of their canine companions were attracted to PAWS Chicago’s Sixth Annual Animal Magnetism!

It was a night for socializing, dancing and pampering one’s canine companion – all in dog-friendly but elegant style. PAWS Chicago’s Sixth Annual Animal Magnetism raised more than $90,000, all of which will go directly toward saving animals’ lives. The February 17 gala at Chicago’s Galleria Marchetti was hosted by PAWS Chicago’s Professional Board and co-chaired by Ashley and Noah Pettit and Courtney and Eric Weiler. Brotha Fred and Angi Taylor of 103.5 KISS FM’s morning show emceed the festivities.

During the evening, the PETCO Foundation was honored for its extraordinary donations to the PAWS Chicago Pet Food Bank and the GusMobile spay/neuter van, a mobile unit that provides free spay/neuter surgeries and medical care in Chicago’s most underserved neighborhoods. A live auction raised thousands of dollars, with prizes including a Caribbean cruise and a trip to New York City with VIP tickets to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Special thanks goes out to all the donors from the evening, as the night was a great success!

“I am so inspired to see and meet so many young professionals who are passionate about saving Chicago’s homeless animals,” says PAWS Chicago Founder and CEO Paula Fasseas.
